What: Homeownership Connection Classes
The classes are offered in English and Spanish regularly with additional languages added based on need.

What: Homebuyer Education
Class content covers qualifying for a mortgage, correcting credit problems, saving for a down payment and more. Classes are limited to 50 people.

EVENTS

What: Fair Lending Forum
The purpose of this forum is to educate the general public, faith-based organizations and housing professionals about HUD resources and programs that can assist in eradicating unfair and discriminatory lending practices. The forum will also address issues related to foreclosure prevention and options that are available to homeowners facing foreclosure.

Attendees will be able to interact with local and national experts involved in enforcing fair lending laws, developing foreclosure prevention strategies, and operating government programs that help families remain in the homes that they hard worked so hard to maintain.

What: Providence Human Relations Commission Community Input Meetings
In an effort to improve relationships among diverse groups in the city and to end discrimination in the areas of housing, employment, public accommodation, education and credit status, the Providence Human Relations Commission (PHRC) is hosting a series of community meetings. PHRC is seeking insight from the public about their experiences with regards to cultural diversity and discrimination and how the PHRC can assist them.
